A grand gift for my father

My family and I thought it would be a great idea to get my father a grandfather clock for the addition he just had built on in his home.
We went out as a family looking at many different places and priced them out. The level of craftsmanship that goes into these works of art is incredible. I found one that was decently priced at a local mom and pop shop and they were happy to work out a deal for me.
The one that I settled on was the
Edward Meyer HHGFC80 Grandfather clock. It is very elegant looking and dad will not be too upset at the cost if he ever happens to find out how much we paid for it.
It has everything that we were looking for. When my children grow up they will learn what it is that can be appreciated by having one of these elegant items in the house.
I personally love it when it hits the hour and the bells and chimes go off. Dad loves even doing maintenance on it when something needs done. The clock itself has a great warranty and that is nice to know.
Even though it sometimes wakes him up in the middle of the night because it is noisy, he doesn’t mind, just a reminder of the people that love him.
These things are built to last and it will be nice that it may be passed down to me one day, hopefully not too soon because it is nice having him around still.
It sits nicely in the corner and when the sunlight comes in the room and reflects off the glass in front it makes for a great moment just sitting there in the living room and appreciating such great craftsmanship built here in the USA.
I just love being in the presence of that thing.
