Age of Colonial Manufacturing grandfather clock?

Twenty years ago I inherited a Colonial Manufacturing Co. grandfather clock from my mother who inherited it from my great uncle and aunt.

She believed it was new in the mid-1920s.
There is a four digit number (1422?) stamped on the back of the wooden case.

Is there any way to authenticate the actual age from this number?
