Colonial Model #1665

by Brad
(Holland, MI USA)

My dad has a Colonial Clock Model #1665 with no weights, it is a spring driven model (three key holds in the face).

He is interested in getting more information on this clock. He has had it 40-50 years, and it was older when he got it from an inheritance.

It is a narrow body, with nothing but the pendulum hanging down behind the glass door. Both my parents and myself live in the Zeeland, MI area, where the clock was made.

Several "experts" have been asked about the clock and no one can seem to find this particular model. My dad had the clock worked on 10-15 years ago and was told it was a German movement.

I am not a clock expert by any means, but am curious on the history of this model.

If anyone has any information on this clock, I would love to hear from you. My email address is brkiek@gmail.com

I will try to get over to get some pictures of the clock sometime in the next few weeks.

Thanks

I have not had any time to research it. My parents have a friend who is researching this clock. I hope to have more time soon to dig further into this.

I have the same model and also can find little information on it. Did you ever learn anything more?
