Daneker "Senator" Grandfather Clock

1972 Daneker Senator

When I was 7 years old (1972) my father was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska.

This is where he bought this gorgeous clock. It's been with me for some time, but only worked for a short time after I got it.

If the weights are put on, the one that controls the hourly "bong" just "bongs" until the weight is removed or all the way down.

I haven't been able to afford taking it to anyone. Is there something I could check on it.

I'm handy with my hands if I have the knowledge. Thank you

I just acquired a Senator Grandfather Clock, made in Fallston, MD. & it does not work. It's beautiful. 2 of the chains are unhooked & of course it does not work & the pendulum is unhooked. I live in Maryland & nee to know where to start. I am looking forward to getting this greatheirloom up & running. I can remember when my grandparents & parents had this sort of clockd. Loved the chimes.Yes my ral name is kloss & it derived from the geman name of Klaus. Be nice to Mrs Claus!
