Hammer Strike

Hi,

My brother recently gave me a 1994 Ridgeway Grandfather Clock. It has the moon dial.
For some reason, one of the hammers for the third strike will not his the chime.
Is there any way to adjust the hammer?
The hammer is flat metal, rather than round. I tried to adjust it by moving the chime closer, but did not work.

Please help! :-)
