Have you ever seen a oriental style Sligh grandfather clock?


I have one that I recently acquired by accident.

I have little knowledge of this clock or any other for that matter.

I believe the style in which it is decorated is referred to as Jessup?

A hand painted oriental theme. Any info on this would be appreciated.

We bought our Sligh in the mid 80s. It is the oriental one u describe. I had it serviced a few years ago by a Sligh expert. He said it was valuable and rose in price -worth $14,000. However, I see auctions and bidding online that contradict this. So......

I happen to have one labeled model # 0804-1-BD.
It is black and has an oriental design. I don't really know much more about it. It was my parents and I got it after they passed. I have an invoice that indicates it was purchaed in 1989 for $1798.
