I bought my Herschede model 124 (Thomas Jefferson ) from Teds Clock Emporium / Los Angeles in 1984. Sales person told me it was one of several last cabinets that Herschede made before stopping making them. Does anyone know the value of this clock.????

I never had the chance to see these types of clocks for real. All I have seen is through movies and photographs. We did have an antique clock, but it was a wall mount and was quite a simple one with the winding and a pendulum.

Hi. I found a table of serial numbers and approximate dates on the web. Google the name of the clock and date and you should be able to find the page. I didn't bookmark it.

I believe that clock was manufactured in 1967 or '68. It may actually have been as late as '69 because they were finishing up production with stock left oh hand prior to closing the doors.
