How to connect the pendulum up to the movement

I have a Colonial clock #7431970 that was in bad need of restoration.

In doing so, I don't know how to connect the pendulum up to the movement?

I have the "second piece" but for the life of me I do not know how to connect it up.

Can you help a guy out?
