I purchased a 1941 colonial grandmother clock at an auction. It was made in Zealand.

I did have paper for it but somehow lost them.

The papers did say it was made in 1941.
The serial number inside of clock door is 1688w.

If you could please give me any information about the clock and is it valuable?

Thank You

Kathleen

Colonial Clock

Anything that old may be valuable but Colonial of Zeeland has made many clocks over the years. They not in business as such now. The clock works were made by a different Company - many times (or most times) a German manufacturer. I have three colonial grandfather clocks and paid 1800 new for a Henry Ford Museum reproduction about 35 years ago and 2100 for another repro of the same kind (Joseph Doll Clock) this year. and about 1500 last year for a 40+ year old glass front different model - so it depends on what you mean by valuable. Does it run and are all part there?
